If for some reason you have a question that we haven’t covered here or if you have a question or concern about our policies, please do not hesitate to contact us prior to arrival.
May I bring my own tube?
Yes, you may bring your own tube! We will still provide a shuttle back from our disembark point after you reach it.
May I bring alcohol?
No. Alcohol is strictly prohibited on all TVC property, both on our campgrounds and on the river.
May I bring a cooler on the river, even without alcohol?
No. Coolers may not be taken on the river, as this poses a hazard. Exceptions can be made for medical purposes. Water bottles and other non-alcoholic drinks may be carried. Speak to our staff if you have a question.
Do I need a reservation to tube, raft or kayak?
No. Even without a reservation, you won’t be waiting any longer to get on the river.
Do I need to rent a campsite to go on the river?
No. You are welcome to tube, raft, or kayak with Toccoa Valley Campground even if you have not rented a tent or RV camping site.
What are your tubing, rafting and kayaking hours?
We put tubes, rafts, and kayaks on the river from 10am–3pm each day of the tubing season from Monday – Saturday. We are closed on Sunday.
Do you have changing rooms?
Yes! You will love our clean facilities.
What do you recommend we take with us on the river?
We recommend water shoes and push-off sticks (unless your vessel already has a paddle). Leave all personal items in the vehicle. We will hold your car keys, cell phones, and wallets. We do not have the space to hold purses or bags.
I am pregnant. Can I go tubing?
Yes! Our 6 mile stretch of the Toccoa is quite relaxing. Of course, always check with your doctor before hand!
Do you accept checks?
No. Payment can be made by cash, debit/credit card, or Apple Pay.
Are there any wait times to get on the river?
No! We have the capacity to serve hundreds of customers. Shortly after you check in you will be enjoying the river.
Are dogs allowed on the river?
Yes! Only lap dogs may ride with someone on a tube. Larger dogs may ride on a kayak or raft. There will be a $3 charge for each animal.
Is parking free?
Yes! We have plenty of parking in the field across from our entrance, and we also have a private walkway under the road to ensure your safety. Look for the wagon with “TVC Customer Parking.”
How long is the trip on the river?
Trips average 2 hours depending on the level and flow of the water. You will travel almost 6 miles on the beautiful Toccoa River.
Do I have to pay to ride the shuttle back?
No. Our shuttle service is free for our customers, whether they rented a vessel or brought their own.
How long is the shuttle ride back?
The shuttle ride back to the campground is about 7 minutes long.
How old does someone need to be to ride down the river?
We recommend that children be five or older to ride the river with a life jacket. Life jackets are provided for every rider, and are required for every rider 12 years old and younger
